This dog groomer’s thinning shear is a 48 tooth shear. It is a fabulous grooming shear for many jobs. It can be aggressive but yet will blend beautifully. This is a great shear for softening dog’s heads, blending pattern lines and lift layering different coat types. It is a great multi purpose thinning shear that can be on many breeds and coat types.

The “Texturizer” dog grooming shear has 21 teeth and measures 7.5″ in length. This shear may be used in various situations. It can be used similar to a scissor with the exception that it will leave a natural appearance. This grooming shear is fantastic for going over scissor-work to eliminate scissor lines and/or marks. Your scissor-work on Poodle type coats will never look better when using this shear. The Texturizer also works beautifully on dog breeds with long coats to trim furnishings.

This thinning shear is a 46 tooth shear but is a very aggressive dog grooming shear. The spacing of the teeth is very different from the “Detailer “and “Shaper”. This shear will remove a lot of pet coat very quickly.  It has very deep notches at the top of each tooth which is what makes this shear aggressive. It is a wonderful grooming shear for trimming ears and tails for a natural look as well as trimming furnishings on setters, spaniels and retriever-like breeds. It will, however, blend soft coats very nicely.  If you have trouble getting a nice finish on your poodle-type coats due to rough scissoring skills, this shear can be used to “scissor” over your work to erase all scissor marks.
